CrackX Privacy Policy

CrackX is a mixed-feed steam cracker decision-support application developed as a KFUPM capstone project. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how users can contact the development team.
Information We Collect
When you create an account or sign in, CrackX may collect your name, email address, and authentication identifier through Amazon Cognito. When you use the app, CrackX may process simulation inputs, saved scenarios, CO2 assessment data, generated reports, and related app activity needed to provide the app's features.
How We Use Information
We use information to authenticate users, run simulations, save and retrieve scenarios, generate PDF reports, provide CO2 assessment results, improve app reliability, and support app functionality requested by the user.
Storage and Service Providers
CrackX uses AWS services such as Amazon Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3 to provide authentication, simulation, storage, and report-generation features. Information is stored only as needed to operate these features.
Tracking and Advertising
CrackX does not sell user information and does not use user information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Local Preferences
The app may store preferences such as dark mode on the user's device. These preferences are used only to improve the app experience.
Data Deletion and Support
Users may request help with account or data deletion by contacting the development team through the support page.
